Ishida helps deliver the fruits of success

The project team at Ishida Europe has devised what is claimed to be Europe’s fastest multihead weighing and packing line with a turnkey installation, including a 28 head model from the company’s latest generation RV series that is achieving 400 packs per minute at leading fruit snacks manufacturer Stream Foods.

The CCW-RV-228 is working in tandem with a 16 head RV model, the 28 head machine weighing primary packs from 16 to 30g of the company’s top selling Fruit Bowl range of fruit flakes, yoghurt coated flakes and raisins and fruit shapes. The16 head is counting these into groups of 5,6,8,10,12 and 20 multipacks.

Mars issues product recall

Would you swap sugary snacks for non-sugary treats?

I like the idea from Ricola who had the ingenious idea to ask shoppers in the U.K. if they would swap sugary snacks for non-sugary-but-still-sweet-treats as they exited the U.K. supermarket a couple of weeks ago. Their research was interesting which was carried out on the 28th January this year. They discovered that only 35% of adults in the U.K. are careful about their sugar intake. 21% of adults admit enjoying at least one sugar based treat every day and 44% of those surveyed don’t monitor their weekly sugar . And as little as 27% do recognise that they consume too much sugar. Ha! … of which I have been in all the categories!
