British MPs are to question top Kraft bosses after the US foods company went back on it's word over the closure of the Cadbury plant at Keynsham.
Although the UK government cannot automatically summon foreign companies, Business Secretary Lord Mandelson and his select committee want Kraft to clarify its position, especially regarding UK jobs, and have already contacted Kraft about the hearing.
Peter Luff, chairman of the Business select committee, says, "I think it's time for Kraft to give the assurances they've been giving in private to politicians in Parliament." |
