Cadbury may bid for Kraft

Now revenge is indeed sweet. According the The New York Post, Cadbury is considering a counter bid for Kraft. This type of defence is called a Pac-Man defence. Called this, as the chased turns around and does the chasing. According to industry sources Cadbury could afford the bid as they have low levels of bad debit. The move would also make strategic sense. Cadbury is still the number 2 chocolate producer in the world and Kraft at number 5. Putting the two together would put the potentially ‘new Cadbury’ at the same size as Mars.
