British chocolate manufacturer Montezuma's has joined the Love British Food initiative, a leading national promotion of British food that provides advice on producing, buying and eating British produce to the retail, catering and education sectors and the general public.

Montezuma's and Love British Food share the ethos of championing British food, so working with one another offered a natural partnership for both organisations.

Love British Food are leaders in promoting and advocating responsibly sourced, British produce across the UK. The initiative also heads up the British Food Fortnight - the biggest annual, national celebration of British food and drink - and this year Montezuma's will be proudly working alongside the team as part of the celebrations.

Montezuma's, which is based near Chichester, West Sussex, was established in 2000. It continues to sell its award-winning range of bars and truffles through its own shops in London and the South East, online and through Sainsbury's, Liberty's, Waitrose, John Lewis, Selfridges and good independent fine food stores nationwide.

Helen Pattinson, co-founder of Montezuma's, said: "We're really excited to be involved with the Love British Food initiative and are very much looking forward to British Food Fortnight. We have always been so proud to be British manufacturers and feel it makes us a bit different to a lot of chocolate producers; indeed it is our aim to become Britain's greatest little chocolate company!"
