Ferrero is launching a range of Easter products across its portfolio, as well as investing £5 million into its seasonal marketing campaigns.

Kinder Surprise will be partnering with two new licenses, My Little Pony and Transformers available in 100g format. The new large eggs will be available in individual boxes.

According to Ferrero, the combination of its Kinder and Thorntons brands has made Ferrero the second biggest manufacturer in kids Easter confectionery.

This includes products such as Butterfly Milk Egg, Cupcake Milk Egg and Football Milk Egg, alongside popular favourites; Gruffalo Milk Egg, Harry Hopalot Milk Egg and the Harry Hopalot White Egg will all return to shelves showcasing the famous intricate detail and characters.

Levi Boorer, customer development director, said: “Chocolate remains hugely popular during the spring season, with many shoppers buying for all ages to gift and share . When it comes to choosing what to buy, shoppers have begun to look at how special and unique the products are and to show the thought that has gone into each purchase.  With the Thorntons brand now firmly under our roof, we will be able to offer retailers something for all of their shoppers’ needs this spring.”

The company has also launched a new retail trade website, titled Your Perfect Store, which has been designed to assist in trends and providing market insight. 

Levi Boorer added: “Everyone knows that digital is a part of everyday life and this applies to the retail landscape too. The speed of evolution in this sector is fast, and we need to ensure we are listening to our customers’ needs and adapting our tools.”
