| Would You Name and Shame a Bad Payer? by agkennedy | Comment (0) |
I have recently provided a client (outside Europe) shall we say with a lot of editorial and a lot of advertising and - he never paid me. Not after months and months of calls, claims, letters and emails. It's now a year later and still I am owed (over 8000 euro). I guess he had no intention in not paying Kennedy's and now I see his adverts and articles in other magazines that have not been warned. The company even had a stand very close to mine at Interpack, when they openly had not paid us.
I have a question to ask you? We published in good faith a good deal of information about this company and told you, the readers, about how good their equipment was and what nice people and so forth. Now, when we are completely sure that what we might have said was not entirely true - do you think we should publish their details and name and shame them in the magazine and online? We have not done this before as I have never had such a case, OK we all have them, that's business and it hurts right? But do you sit and take it or act with morals to warn the industry?

This month, Angus takes a fresh look in his closet and wonders whether he has been properly dressed for business for all these years!
