| Christ en Mass Shopping by agkennedy |
I am so sorry- I left the blog for so long. Well the truth is that the more I try to write about the food industry the more I go off on a tangent, like what is the point in buying tonnes of crap at Christmas just because we thought it was a good idea to buy presents on Christ's birthday?
Tell you what, can you imagine if we had more than one Christ? Let's say for a horrifying minute there was a preferred list of top ten celebs that we must follow and we all had to buy presents for the in-laws we hated to celebrate this bunch too. Credit crunch extraordinaire. Thank God Christ was only born once. Thank thank you, thank you God for that ! We only have buy complete junk just because its Christmas once and that is the blessing about the whole thing - we only endure it once. He must be turning in his grave (again). What Christ really said should be daily life, you just have to find out what he really did say-(another dead sea scroll story). You'll find that in my next book.
So what did you buy then? Have you got any money left to spend on the most important thing (your future and being who you are). Kennedy's are off to Paris shortly to a chocolate conference and one of the topics is the effect of the sweetness of food on our emotions. Sure, been done before. But there are new waves of arguments suggesting that more people will consume chocolate in the credit crunch to cheer them up. Have you heard of this before? If so, I need to know please and you will be invited to write a piece in our next issue if you do know.
Just one last present and then I am there! What has going to the shopping centre really got to do with Christ anyway? I buy presents when I feel I want to tell someone I love them - finito. Not at a time when they are at their most expensive and it's world war 2 in the shops. Can you enlighten me? It's gone wrong terribly hasn't it? Just face a truth. I am going to ask Christ to come again. He always promised to put a few wrongs to their right.
Yours, and whilst trying to spend wisely
