All Candy Expo bucks the trend and gets a new name! |

The 2009 ALL CANDY EXPO claims to have bucked trade show industry
trends with an impressive 7% growth in verified customer attendees and
4% verified growth in exhibitor participation, proving that
confectionery and snack products are important to wholesalers and
retailers in these difficult economic times.
With attendance reaching nearly 14,000 verified industry professionals,
the 2009 ALL CANDY EXPO has been hailed as one of the most successful,
sales-driven shows ever.
New product innovations, along with smart merchandising solutions and emerging trends, were at the forefront of the National Confectioners Association sponsored ALL CANDY EXPO, held May 19-21 in Chicago. The event featured nearly 450 confectionery and snack companies from around the world and attracted more than 5,000pre-qualified industry buyers.
"In this challenging economy, new products are essential to our industry since they account for 30% of all confectionery sales every year. So it was natural that the New Product Showcase was the first stop on everyone's list," said Tom Joyce, chairman of the ALL CANDY EXPO
and vice president of customer and industry affairs for The Hershey Company.
"The fact that overall attendance is better than it has been for the past few years is a clear indicator that our exhibitors and attendees trust us to provide them with tangible value and benefits they need to grow their business," said a delighted NCA President, Larry Graham. "Even in the educational sessions, we saw an amazing 12% increase in attendance in our sessions, with most that it was the best information they have found about the state of our industry."
In 2010, from May 25th - 27th in Chicago in the US, the ALL CANDY EXPO will also get a new a new name – the 2010 Sweets & Snacks EXPO. So, mark the date in your diaries now.
