Ceylon Biscuits to invest Rs 1.2 billion |
6th Feb - Indian Confectionery organisation Ceylon Biscuits Limited have announced their intention to invest in a dedicated manufacturing facility in the Seethavaka Board of Investment zone, at a cost of Rs 1.2 million.
The company say that this is part of an expansion in to foreign markets whilst also growing their domestic market share.
Sheamalee Wickramasingha, Managing Director of Ceylon, commented: “We want to be number one in the SAARC region. Munchee is already strong in many parts of India. We will also enter any other market where we see opportunities. We already have strong markets in the EU, Australia, Africa and North America.” |
