Cameroon chocolate launch by Barry Callebaut
3rd Feb – At this year's ISM, Barry Callebaut launched a range of Cameroon chocolates and cocoa powders made with cocoa from a sustainable cultivation.

Barry Callebaut have told us that the milk chocolates created with the red cocoa from Cameroon are of outstanding quality due to the fertile ground of the dense rainforest in Cameroon which is enriched with volcanic soil. The Cameroon milk chocolates are said to have an intense shine, warm colour and very pronounced milky chocolate flavour. According to their research, approximately 1.4 million Cameroonians depend on cocoa for their livelihoods, and they produce about 6% of the world cocoa.

This launch comes about as part of Barry Callebaut’s Quality Partner Program, where they work with cocoa farmer cooperatives for a long-term sustainability program based on direct partnerships between Barry Callebaut and the cooperatives.
