30th Jan – Traditional British product Wagon Wheels are to be launched in Russia as part of an expansion from UK manufacturer Burton’s Biscuits.

Wagon Wheels are expected to arrive in Russia in April, with Burton’s looking to expand in to the worldwide market which provided £40 million of their £320 million turnover in 2010.

Ben Clarke, Chief Executive at Burton’s Biscuits, commented: “Wagon Wheels used to be big business in Russia before the rouble collapsed in 1997 and they haven’t forgotten their taste for it. So, we are taking it back to Russia this year, starting with St Petersburg and Moscow.”
