The Pavan Group, suppliers of plants and systems for the food processing industry, has successfully acquired the GBS group, (comprising of Golfetto, Sangati and Berga) specialists in flour milling, grain storage and handling terminals.
Under Pavan, GBS have been re-registered as Golfetto Sangati Spa, will offer equipment for flour milling as well as animal feed, and will extend business in the grain storage and handling terminal areas. The headquarters will move to Quinto di Treviso and investment will go into the expansion of production sites in Manfredonia, Italy, and in Beijing.
Andrea Cavagnis, CEO of Pavan, comments, "With this move, we will now be in the position to offer and provide our customers with a broader range of solutions and services, equipment and systems to complete and integrate food processing lines with cereal and flour milling systems."
The Pavan Group, based in Galliera Veneta, Italy, processes dry and fresh pasta, snacks, breakfast cereals, ready-made meals and frozen food products. With annual sales of €90m and with exports (to over 120 countries) making up 95% of total sales, Pavan claim they have a 35% market share, and with the acquisition, can now offer customers complete production lines, from flour milling to product packaging. |
