LONDON (Reuters) - Swiss food group Nestle is likely to set itself a long-term goal to buy Hershey after the Kraft-Cadbury deal, hoping that market pressures will wear down opposition from the controlling Hershey Trust.

In January 2010 Kennedy’s Confection magazine will be 120 years old.  Yes sometimes we feel it too! So if you are coming to Cologne to visit the ProSweets show you might be in for a bit of a treat, it’s not often a magazine gets to 120 years! It’s not often that we have such a fantastic presentation for all our readers and advertisers alike. So, it’s the official birthday party and we plan to celebrate. It's Snow JokeOK so this it what my drive was like to work this morning! Yeah - where's the road? This was a view from my car window.  I took this photo this morning (-7) on the way to work. There are cars stranded at the road side in ditches and last night even, we could hardly get home as numerous cars were stuck 1/2 way up hills and in the middle of the roads. Reasons why... the UK governnment cant be bothered to grit the roads or recommend that people should buy snow tryes.

Ferrero confirms interest in Cadbury Print E-mail

Ferrero, the Italian confectionery company, has reiterated interest in joining the bid for U.K. chocolate maker Cadbury. Kraft shares were up 0.8% ahead of the news. Ferrero have issued a statement statement saying it is "still evaluating the possibility of acquiring the British sweets group," according to the U.K. Daily Mail online. Cadbury, in the meantime, has been fighting a hostile $16.3 billion  bid from Kraft. This offer stands until January 5th
