Cadbury's Corporate Affairs Director has announced that she will leave the company just months after Kraft Foods acquired the UK confectioner.
Despite reportedly being offered a number of positions within the newly-formed company, Alex Cole will leave her post next week, having led the corporate affairs department since 2007.
"After nearly a decade at Cadbury in both operational and corporate affairs roles, I've decided it's time for a new adventure," she told PRWeek earlier. "I've loved every minute but the past year has been an absolute high point, kicking off with the launch of Fairtrade Cadbury products and ending in the bittersweet bid battle. While I'm naturally sad to see the end of Cadbury as an independent player, I'm proud to have played my part in generating an additional $2.4bn of shareholder value." |
