ssn.jpgThe change of name depicts the changing industry and product categories that make up Sweets & Snacks Expo 2010. The exhibition is the largest venue in the Americas to see new product trends in new categories.
Close to 500 confectionery, cookie and snack companies will be showcasing their latest new product releases in addition to candy, chocolate and gum.

Other sweet and salty product categories featured include salty snacks, cookies, biscuits, popcorn, granola bars, breakfast snacks, nutrition bars, meat snacks, fruit snacks, nuts, and our latest addition: packaged goods.

The 2010 Sweets & Snacks Expo is the only show that represents all of the major US distribution channels of confectionery and snack products. Exhibitors range from the largest multi-national firms to boutique and gourmet companies.

Attendees are buyers, merchandisers, operations managers and store owners from all classes of trade including supermarkets, convenience stores, warehouse clubs, mass and dollar merchants, drug stores, vending, wholesalers, theaters, specialty and department stores.

This is the best place to make the connections you need to find key importers, exporters, brokers, and distributors.

Tap into the $300 billion confectionery, cookie and snack industry worldwide at the 2010 Sweets & Snacks Expo.

Thirty per cent of all category sales are from items released in the last two years – that represents up to 14,000 new confectionery and snack products – more than any other food category.

The New Product Showcase, filled with hundreds of not-yet-released hot ticket items, is gaining more exposure as well by incorporating a new ‘best in class’ awards program highlighting the leaders in new product innovation.

This awards program will help buyers distinguish between hundreds of hot items and help them weed out what might be their next big thing.

Despite the challenging economy, confectionery and snack sales continued to grow steadily since 2002 and are projected to grow another 14% by 2017.

Consumers are still treating themselves to affordable luxuries. Research shows that consumers are eating in more so candy and snacks are even making the weekly shopping list instead of being merely an impulse buy.

Discover the newest merchandising concepts; the coolest gourmet products; the latest confectionery and snack trends and the greatest array of new companies and products all in one place.
